Description

Agenda

Why Train the Internal Committee? Safe workplaces, free from all kinds of harassment, is of key importance to all organizations. A robust grievance redressal mechanism with a trained Internal Committee, therefore, becomes non-negotiable – not only because the POSH Law mandates it but also because a trained IC serves as a guardian of justice at work, ensuring that the principles of fairness and equity are upheld while they perform the duties mandated for them under law.

What is the role of IC? The role of an Internal Committee Member is multifaceted, requiring a blend of legal understanding, interpersonal skills, and unwavering ethical principles. By embodying impartiality, sound legal knowledge, judicial temperament, decisiveness and integrity, IC Members contribute to the strength and credibility of the Organization, fostering employees’ trust in the administration of justice. However, the pursuit of these essential qualities is an ongoing commitment. It is important that IC continually cultivate and refine their skills to fulfill their vital role in the system.
