Why Train the Internal Committee?
Ensuring safe workplaces free from all forms of harassment is of paramount importance to every organization. A robust grievance redressal mechanism, with a trained Internal Committee, is therefore indispensable. Not only does the POSH Law mandate it, but a well-trained IC also serves as a guardian of justice at work, ensuring that fairness and equity are upheld while fulfilling their legal duties.
What is the Role of the IC?
The role of an Internal Committee Member is multifaceted, requiring a blend of legal understanding, interpersonal skills, and unwavering ethical principles. By embodying impartiality, sound legal knowledge, judicial temperament, decisiveness, and integrity, IC Members strengthen the credibility of the organization and foster employee trust in the administration of justice. However, the pursuit of these essential qualities is an ongoing commitment. It is crucial that the IC continually cultivates and refines their skills to fulfill their vital role in the system.
