A Historic Dialogue: Honoring Bhanwari Devi Ji and the Pioneers of Vishaka Guidelines
We recently had the honor of hosting a powerful and inspiring program with Bhanwari Devi Ji, the fearless social activist whose battle for justice was instrumental in the creation of the Vishaka Guidelines, India’s foundational legal framework against workplace harassment. Alongside her were esteemed colleagues and petitioners in the Vishaka case – Kanchan Mathur Ji, Pritam Priyo Ji, Mamta Jaitly Ji, Dr. Renuka Pamecha Ji, and Vijayalakshmi Ji – who shared their invaluable insights and experiences. Their collective efforts have not only shaped the landscape of Women’s Rights in India but have also inspired countless others to continue the fight for justice and equality. This program was a profound reminder of the power of resilience and solidarity in driving social change.
