Skill Building Workshop for IC Members

Competency & Skill Building Workshop for IC members – (Bangalore) – 11-12 Jul 2019

This workshop covered an understanding of various concepts and provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 and dealt with developing skills for effectively handling complaints and carrying out responsibilities laid down under the law, from a legal, psychological, as well as a practical lens. It was designed based on the experiences of our core team members (lawyers and psychologists), who act as external members of the IC of various organizations, and learnings from reported instances and case laws of various courts in India. There were activities, mock inquiries, and the drafting of an inquiry report planned for participants to get a hands-on learning experience.

Especially beneficial to those employees (in the role of HR, legal, ethics & compliance or any other) who are/may be acting as IC members, are new inductees in IC or are independent professionals working in this area. Also helpful for managers wanting to understand compliance requirements under law and how complaints get handled and for those who assist IC members in successfully fulfilling their role.
